MXP and SUB

I had this great idea on something to do that I saw in the help files using the SUB command. I want to have a trigger that will make a word into a hyperlink that gives me 3 choices. It works as MXP but when I try to sub it, it screws up so many different ways. Maybe one of you can help.
I want a trigger that is activated with RIGHT HAND and when it activates I want it to turn RIGHT HAND into a link and have three options Fresh|Scar|Internal. If you choose fresh then it does this: take fresh
if you choose scar then take scar, and if you choose internal then take internal. PLEASE help if you can!
