Substution and Number Formating

I've noticed that as I've gained size on a particular mud the numbers involved become more and more difficult to read. Experiance is displayed in the hundreds of millions instead of millions, etc.

What I would like to do is preform a substitute command to reformat large portions of the numerical output, however there are certain sections I want to leave unformated. Specificly my prompt

<[ 117937xp/466bp ] [ 7912hp 2569mp 2537vp ]>

Any thoughts?

Specifically your prompt is:
one of those certain sections you want to leave unformatted?
part of those large portions you want to reformat?

My personal recommendation would be to leave all the MUD text unformatted. There are only a few numbers, such as experience, gold, and bank balance, that are likely to get too large to be easily read. Those numbers can be put in your status line/window, and formatted there. (Actually, I've never seen much point in displaying my experience. It's the experience-to-level that matters and if that's too large to read easily it's likely to be awhile before I level anyway)
