Idea: Zooming with Scrollwheel

It'd be nice if you could zoom in and out of maps using the mouse scrolly wheel.. the same way you do in funky games like NWN, Settlers, etc :)

Yep, I'll be adding full mousewheel support to the map. It will work the same as in AC Explorer. Wheel will actually scroll up/down, Shift-wheel will scroll left/right, and Ctrl-wheel will zoom in/out.
The reason for this choice is that scrolling the map is done more often than changing the zoom level.
