Running zMUD 6.16 in Linux using Wine/WineX

Has anyone done this successfully? If so, can you provide any information on how you did it? (Just so you know, licensing works correctly, but when it tries to bring up the main menu, I get an unhandled exception error in the console, then the whole thing dies. :()

Lady C. writes Anyfish, like I said in the other thread, 6.16 only runs for about 30 mins before it gets a 'corrupt application'.. 5.55 works mostly, but I've got some RTFedit errors (or simliar) trying to set up the Mapper..

Spencer writes If you want this fixed sooner you may want to register there and vote for zMud (currently ranked #16) and hopefully it'll get fixed sooner. Go to http://appdb.codeweavers.com/appview.php?appId=513 to view the entry. I hope to see this beat Halflife as #1 soon :)

Search in the general forum for 'linux' and read :)

1. vmware - works wonderfully, but costs money..

2. wine - works more or less.. actual mudding is ok, but opening settings windows/mapper etc. is dicey.

3. win4lin - reported to work, not tried it myself (another emulator).
