Microsoft released MDAC 2.8.. I installed it.. rebooted, and now it works faster. Altho it was NOT immediate. I installed it and rebooted about 3 hours ago, and immediately tried to map, to see if that fixed the slowdown.. I was disappointed..
HOWEVER.. it seems to have seriously sped up now.. like it was taking 4-5 seconds to create a room.. now it's taking less than a second to create rooms.. also takes MUCH less time to move between zones when speedwalking.... zMUD used to pause like 15-20 seconds before sending the first movement, now its closer to 3 seconds..
I dont know what happenend.. but it seems faster... download MDAC 2.8 people.. |

Ok.. now it's back to being slow, and I changed nothing.. this is very very strange...
