a really quick question |
i was trying to use the #play command with a trigger, however, i couldn't get zmud to play any sound files.
i tried #play d:, and #play startu[.wav like the help file said, but they didn't work.
could someone help me with this please? do the music files have to be in a specific folder or something? |

Well, where exactly is startup.wav?
#play d:startup.wav
should work fine...or
#play d:directoryyourfileisinstartup.wav
should work as well.

If you don't feel like stringing out the directory, just copy paste the sound into your zmud directory and use #PLAY soundname.wav (or whatever it is)

Check that the sound file you want exists on your computer. Then provide the entire path to the sound file. For example,#play c:winntmedianotify.wav If there is a space in the name, then you need double quotes around the path.

No i mean like where the computer makes a beep.. the actual computer speaker instead of a wav file.. so if u turn the speakers on yer desktop off.. like the annoying honk from inside the case. Is there anyway to get that sound thru zmud?

The #BEEP command doesn't use the little speaker the computer uses to complain, it uses the sound Windows uses to alert you of something and this sound is played through your sound card.

I haven't seen any new programs that use the computer's internal speakers in a long time. The only things that I know use this are some old dos programs and modems... You can probably still do that but it would be way too much trouble to be worthwhile
