Image Mapping? |
Is there a way to easily parcel up an image (like on a button or in a window) into coordinates that can be interacted with? Ie, the nw corner will do one thing when clicked on, and the se corner will do something else.
I know you can do this by physically dividing the image up and making buttons for each piece, but that is really tedious - just checking to see if there's a cleaner, quicker way before I dive in. |

If it's in a button, not that I know of. In a window, you can use MXP links (<send> tags), though I'm not sure if they could be overlayed on an image.

Hmm. With spacing that sounds feasible (and a lot less work than cutting the image up) - is there a way to set an image as a background to a window?

Nope, CMud only does inline images. This basically means one image = one font character, with the line the image gets printed on being height-adjusted to allow the image to fit on that line. You might be able to work around this fact using the DEST tag to tell cmud where to place the text.
