"Cannot open Package" error when importing zMud file

I just bought CMUD Pro. I used to use zMUD 5 years ago when I stopped mudding but I've decided to take it back up. I do not currently have zMUD installed but I had a rather extensive profile created. However, when I try to import it to cMUD I'm getting a "Cannot open Package" error and it asks if I want to "Create an empty package?" I followed the instructions as per the documentation: create a subfolder in the CMUDPro directory, copy the *.MUD file there, edit my session to open it. I'd hate to have to recreate that entire profile again... can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I assume you did this in the My Games/Cmud folder and not the one that was put into Program Files? Data files cannot be written to the program install directory, which is probably why you got that error.
