cmud upstart error |
Hi,
I am a long time cmud user and have been on/off mudding for quite some time. A few days ago I wanted to start again, so I installed cmud changed the files in my session folder and started cmud.
Entering cmud everything is fine, but when I start the mud, I get an error and a choice to either continue or close down. The error message is the following. http://pastebin.com/HrSp7AZt
Now, if I change the .pkg file for this mud, the error wont appear and everything seems fine, but I want all my scripts. If I continue though, I can enter the mud, and from what I can see, all my triggers and such do work. I will have to rearrange all the windows I have, every time while restarting cmud which is a hassle but not the biggest one I guess. Is it possible to pinpoint more accurately what the problem might be so one can fix it? |

Looks like the error is in the opening of your map database. Try running it through the repair function of the MapConvert utility.

I was like "YAY! It worked". I do not use maps, but I saw that I had a map file. Knowing that I would not miss it, I deleted it and restarted cmud. I started my mud and no error message. I got the ordinary windows and my status windows in another tab.
I wanted to rearrange the windows I have. Status, channels, tells, party and my main windows the the mud. I move the status window and my main windows was gone. I restarted cmud, started the mud and my main windows is no where to be found. I clicked the Window menu, and the main window ain't there.
I remove my session and made a completely new one but with the same .pkg file, and it is still gone. I can see all my scripts, but no main window. No idea what might have happened. The only thing I did was remove a map I never used.
EDIT: When opening other sessions everything works as it should, but with my mud, and more specific my .pkg file it doesn't. |

Ok, now I got it to work, but I do not know how. Though I am having troubles saving my layout and I can't remove captions. I will probably reinstall cmud to see if I can make it work better then.

Open the package editor, click the window that's missing, go to the advanced tab and check the window is visible box.
