[3.34 Pro] MySQL library issue [resolved] |
Okay, so I'm having a hard time hooking up CMUD Pro to a MySQL database. I try to connect and it tells me "None of the dynamic libraries can be found: libmysql51.dll, libmysql50.dll, libmysql.dll" when the last one, libmysql.dll, is quite definitely in the CMUDPro directory.
The instance, DB, and table are already set up and accessible from command-line and GUI tools, and I copied the libmysql.dll that is in the MySQL install directory to every CMUD directory I could find (originally I just tried it in the CMUD Pro directory, but when that didn't work I went crazy). This is a fresh download/install from the MySQL site, so I'm wondering if version 5.5 is too new?
I looked at the zApp page for drivers, and those are just 3.x and 4.x, so I didn't want to sprinkle those around in case that caused an issue. Thanks in advance, even if the answer is just to point me at a FAQ/forum post/helpfile I overlooked. |

Crisis (seemingly) averted. I had downloaded/installed the 64b version of MySQL, so that was the library I placed in the CMUDPro directory. When I installed the MySQL Workbench software, it came as 32b only. So, I copied that "new" 32b version of libmysql.dll back into the CMUDPro directory, and it all worked like a champ.
