Invisible alias: Random direction translation |
I recently started having a random bug where mover aliases (such as n;n;e;e;s;e;e;n;n;n;open door;w) that have been working for literally years stopped working. At first i thought i'd accidentally aliased "n;w" to be ford but it turns out that occasionally and for no reason that I can determine "w" itself sometimes translates into "ford."
Obviously, this is driving me crazy. Any ideas?
P.S. I've already done a search for the word ford in all my settings and verified that none of them are causing it. Is there any way for a setting to be invisible to the search?
P.P.S. I have a reason for asking about invisible settings because I had another issue with a trig that was firing (correctly) that I could not find anywhere to turn it off. It has since stopped firing.
Specifics:
Direction "w" bug.
Once the "w" = "ford" bug occurs I can force it to keep occurring indefinitely but alternating an "e" and a "w" if i do two "w" in a row the second one goes through. |

Is your position in the mapper somewhere near a room that has a "ford" exit to the west?

When this error occurred the mapper was in follow mode so I assumed it shouldn't matter. However, I was in the same ZONE as a few rooms that have a ford. I rarely pay attention to the mapper when i'm not using it because I've never gotten it to be reliable. I'll turn 'off' the mapper and see if this resolves the problem.
