1)try the SHIFT trick to reset the layout. It could be you have a stray mapper window you aren't aware of, this would fix that.

2)the error message you gave doesn't mean crap to us. What exactly were you doing and what were the conditions of your session?

I just clicked on new to make a new map. When I first tried to open the mapper I get a message saying it cant find the materiamagica.mdb file so I click continue and try to make a new map which causes the error message I posted earlier.

Have you configured the mapper? In the mapper window, click: Config|Reconfigure, then follow the steps. If you don't configure the mapper, it has no idea how to extract the room description to make the map.

Ok I used the reconfigure and now it works! Thank you! One last question, Is there any way I can add info to map squares to where I can click on it or mouse over it and see lables or such I left? Like where a shop is or the areas in a town? Sorry to be a bother just been many years since ive played any text based games or used any of the clients.
