How to reference a variable from another window?

Within the same package I have a variable that I want to use. The issue is that it's in a different window. Suggestions on how to reference it?

Edit: My best guess would be to send the variable over with #winexec

Settings inside a window cannot be referenced by settings outside that window. Your choices are as follows:

1)move the variable outside of the window

2)move the script inside the window

3)give up and go do something else

What about setting up a global variable in a module outside all your windows?
