is there a way to keep the room that i am in 'centered' while i am moving?
I keep the map open on the right of my screen, the cmud screen on the left, so as i move i can see where i am. |

What version of Cmud are you using? There was a bug like that for a long time, which is fixed in the current beta version. Most likely there is nothing you can do except wait for the next public version comes out, or try the beta version, with the understanding that you would become a beta tester.
