Is it possible to map while following someone.

Or if not, is it possible to make a map offline by using my logs and imputing the directions traveled by hand?

Yes, to both. Usually. It depends on what text you get from the mud. The trick to mapping while following someone is creating triggers to tell the mapper that you are moving. The triggers can use the #MOVE command to tell the mapper you have moved. If the mud sends you text telling you what direction you are following, then it should not be hard to make the triggers. If the mud does not tell you what direction you are moving, you may be out of luck.
