im running cmud beta 3.12 and ive been on that for...mmm.. 8 weeks maybe
its running flawlessly. no problems really
speed is fantastic.. however i was on the old mapping database which was much slower. so im not sure if the speed improvement is the windows or the cmud |

As with Vista, the scrolling speed is slower compared to WinXP (because of the new way Windows handles it's window composition visual effects). But that's the only known issue, and not something I can do much about.
I am currently running Windows 7 64-bit as my main development system, so I know that CMUD is working fine and you'll continue to see excellent support for Win7. In fact, the next Beta version contains some nice Win7-specific task bar features.
In the future I am looking forward to experimenting with the new Direct2D features in Win7 for improved performance, but that will be much later in the year. |
