[3.12] guages, window resizing, massive performance drop |
When sailing i have 14 guages set up to show various ammo counters and weapon cool downs. After extended play (my history size is set to 15,000 lines) should i resize my window from max to a windowed mode and manually scale it to fill a space the cmud window greys out and it takes 2-5 minutes for it to correct the issue.
This performance drop only happens when i have guages active and attempt to resize. |

Are you sure this is because of the gauges and not word wrapping due to long scrollback? Try Preferences > Session > Word wrap, and untick Auto Wrap.
Edit: Also remember you may have to do this multiple times for multiple windows. |

Oh yeah, should mention this is on a quad core phenom :x
I checked task manager and all 4 cores are barely been used, so its not a throttling issue with my cpus and i have loads of free ram space. |

Try pasting the XML for your gauges within [code] tags in this forum so we can try to reproduce it. I have not seen any problem like this with my gauges, but I only usually have three of them. But *nothing* should take 2-5 minutes....ever. Unless as Gamma mentioned you have thousands and thousands of scroll back lines and CMUD is trying to re-wordwrap them.
