Issues with windows 7 and cmud |
I have today installed windows 7 ultimate and as I was trying to install Cmud I got an error message, then I tried installing again and did not get the error message. I updated to 3.12 beta and have come as far as I created an sessions however it seems that at various times (never the exact same time) the sessions are closed or it looks like its lagging however server is not lagging and when I reconnect it works for a while again and then it again stops. The program works but it looks like its not staying connected to the server.
basic steps...
start program----no error
log into the session----no errors
while in session---at random interwalls its just stopping communicating with the server.
recconnect works to get going but one can never know when its stuck or whatever happend during the time the client is not communicating with the server |

The usual cause of problems like that is connection problems between you and the mud server. One way to check would be to connect to the mud with a vanilla telnet session and see if you still have the problem.

You should also look here: CMUD Troubleshooting and take a look at the topic about connecting to your MUD. These Vista tips also apply to Windows 7 (since Vista and Win7 share the same internals).
