[3.09]Room properties bug |
Easy to reproduce. Didn't try this in a blank session, though I suppose I could. Don't think it'd make too much difference, though.
1. Have the mapper open with a room selected. (Make sure the room has directions and links to another room)
2. Put map in Edit mode.
3. Go to Windows->Room properties.
4. Select the second tab (the one for directions).
As you can see, the directions do not show up. Nothing you do can make them appear (changing mapper to Follow, switching tabs back and forth, etc.).
The exits only appear if you open the Room properties dialogue while the map is in Follow mode only.

Did you set the room properties to something other than <none>?
When the room properties first loads up for me it is not tied to editing any of my location objects or my map window, as soon as I select one to edit I get a room and exits.
Rather, I think the bug is that there is a room name & description on the first tab. |

Actually, I think it came from an exception error that I got for whatever reason. I sent a bug report, but it always pulled up the same room, and it didn't have any information on it. No matter which room I had selected, it brought up just that one room (the same room that caused the exception error, I believe). *shrug* I don't know. Hopefully the bug report will show something.

Sounds like another problem with messed up Location objects. I just tried this in all of my sessions and the Exit information displayed properly regardless of whether the map was in Follow or Map mode.
Also, the Room Properties is always properly assigned to the map object that was open that I clicked the Room Properties button from. So I also cannot reproduce Wyrm's problem.
So I'm going to need a procedure starting with a blank session to reproduce this. |
