Is CMUD Ready to buy? |
Ive played around with the Trial, And so far ive found alot of bugs. Cmud crashed a few times, but with the setting saving automatically, it wasn't a problem. The mapper would not CENTER, half the map was off the window and it wouldn't allow me to scroll over to it. Could not center it. a few other minor things, Can anyone reccomend buying it right now? Zmud gets slow after alot of scripting.

I have found using CMud requires the same effort ZMud did at first, and things that went wrong were avoidable or something I did. That doesn't sound like a plug for a product, but ZMud/CMud are fine products I've had many days of fun programming. I also could have spent the money at Olive Garden, but that is in its way limited.
Advancements made by Zuggsoft are only going to be available if you buy, or will come quicker if you buy. Aside from the rare blossom I don't see perfect things, I just revel in imperfection as much as I can.
CMud/ZMud are radical programs you are allowed to write. With that liberty I doubt CMud or ZMud were ever 'ready'.
carpe diem and, excuse me
i have fun

Keep in mind that the mapper has been rewritten in the newer 3.x beta version. A new public 3.x version is planned within a few weeks, so you might want to wait for that. The mapper in CMUD 2.37 was a direct port from zMUD and had problems working with the CMUD window system (causing the centering and scrolling issues that you mentioned).
Most crashes and problems come from scripts imported from zMUD that were not written properly, so be sure to always use the Compatibility Report to check your scripts for errors and possible problems. |

Im afraid i didn't get to use that newer version in the trial, stupid me didn't update it I guess. Anyways is there like a single day trial key i can use just to try the new one, If all is good I will definately buy. I enjoy scripting with these programs.

You can get a full refund within 30 days of your purchase if you buy it and don't like it, but bear in mind that 3.x is still a beta.

No, unfortunately there is no way to do this. Once your trial is over, there is no way to reactivate it for any period of time other than just buying a license. As Fang mentioned, there is a full 30-day refund policy. |

I bought Cmud, so far everything seems to be fixed. Including mapper. I will need to ask a few questions about the new scripting.
