Is it possible to script a window, and only have a certain channels appear in the window? Combat in the mud i play is spamy and it's hard to catch people talking on channels.

Yes there is. You will want to look into the #CAPTURE command. You may also want to look at #WINDOW (for more fine-grained window creation control) and #SUB (for text clean up).
