My enter key has fallen off of my laptop, and it really sucks. I can't get it back on because some metal prong has broken, but that's not the point of this topic. I was wondering if I could set cMUD so that left-shift or page down acts as the enter key when mudding, so that I can use one of the aforementioned keys to enter commands.

If there's a simple way to do this, please tell me.

Unfortunately there's no simple way to do this because the enter key behaviour is standard and presumably hard-coded. You could probably make a macro for it with "Allow any key to be a macro", but there's simply no way to emulate the enter key's behaviour in all the various dialogues and other places where enter is used.

You might be able to find a third-party utility that will work with your keyboard driver, so that when you press some other key, the driver reports that enter had been pressed. But there's no way to do it within CMUD, no.

Most things in Windows will recognize CTRL-M as the enter key. I am pretty sure the majority of things in CMud will also treat CTRL-M as enter so long as you don't have a macro on CTRL-M.

In the mapper it's also the shortcut for "Move this room within the current zone".

Unfortunately CMUD is looking at the actual Windows "virtual key code" returned by the key on your keyboard. CMUD doesn't have any way to remap another key at that low level. You might be able to find some other software that hooks into Windows and allows your keys to be remapped. But no way to do it just within CMUD, sorry.
