[2.29] focus shifting lockup from bad command line docking |
Procedure
1. Launch CMud
2. Close Sessions window (ESC)
3. Enter at the command line #WIN test
4. Drag the test window to a floating position
5. Drag the untitled window to a floating position
6. Drag the test window's command line to dock at the top of the untitled window
7. Drag the untitled window's command line to dock in the test window
8. Click on either the test or the untitled window
Once it starts the only way to stop it is with task manager. CMud remains sort of responsive, but it is impossible to do anything. |

I've actually run across this before without ever even undocking the command lines before, but I have no clue how it happened.. So I have no way to recreate the issue yet, but it definitely has to do with multiple frames and multiple command lines as I'd been toggling command lines on and off of various frames. Then I screwed up and xed out of the session and every time I tried to load into it after that I had the same issue.

Yep, don't dock the command line of one MUD window into another window. Using the dockable toolbar for a window-specific command line is already problematic. CMUD gets really confused if you start mixing command lines into the wrong window. In some cases CMUD will detect this as a "bad layout" if you reload the character, but in other cases it can't fix it. However, I have no idea how I would fix this or stop anyone from docking the command line to the wrong window. The toolbar system doesn't handle stuff like that.
