[2.28] Colour config lost?
 
My session output has been broken in respect to how things should be colored since I updated to 2.28 from 2.27 or maybe 2.25.

The same thing happened to another on my mud on a previous patch, but had corrected itself on a patch since then... needless to say it is quite annoying.

Much of my text is now the default session text colour instead of highlighted the way it is meant to be, and nothing I can change in the 'preferences' settings seems to be able to get it back the way it was.

is there anything known about this issue / common way to fix such a problem?

(Windows XP, Cmud 2.28)

I rolled back to 2.27 on advise from others on my mud, thankfully i still had the install file...

whatever is broken is 2.28 specific. perhaps it is related to this ans(blink) issue also reported recently...

I need to see the exact output from the MUD that is causing the problem. I'm not seeing any color problems on the MUD that I play. The bug with ansi(blink) only effects blink, underline, and italic ansi codes, not any of the color codes.

To capture the text from the MUD, do this:

#DEBUGFILE test.raw text.txt

and then do whatever command on the MUD to display the text. Then, post the test.txt file within [CODE] tags in this forum, along with a screen shot showing the bad screen and a good screen from 2.27 if you can. Without more detail on this, it's hard for me to fix it.

There are at least 4 unique places where this happens.

*NEW ROUND* should be whitish.
You are prepared to do the skill. should be whitish
There are two obvious exits: west and south (( west / south are whitish))
and
[inform]: Atomanth left the game. (( [inform]: (channelname) should be whitish))

In 2.27 they are, in 2.28 they are not.

Yep, confirmed and reproduced. It looks like the %ansi(blink) bug is also effecting the %ansi(bold) flag when it is by itself (ESC[1m) and not followed by another color code. Thanks for the detailed file dump. I've added this for the bug list. Looks like there will be a 2.29 version later this week.
