[2.23] Macro errors

1. Create a new session
2. Go to package editor, pull down [+] icon, select New Macro
3. Press [Enter], press ALT-D
4. Type the following text: "describe " (without the quotes)
5. Clear the "Send to MUD" checkbox
6. Click the "Save" button
7. Go to command line in main MUD window
8. Press ALT-D. Text "describe " is typed in the main mud window; I would expect it to be in the command line.

9. Go back to open PE window
10. Mark the "Append to Command" checkbox
11. Click the "Save" button
12. Go to command line in main MUD window
13. Press ALT-D. Text "describe " appears in command line, as would be expected.
14. Press "a" key. "Actions" menu is pulled down, which is what one would expect if one was pressing ALT-a while typing commands or clicked on the main MUD window, but not when pressing "a" by itself after a macro.

This could be pretty devastating if one continued to type various letters that might change some PE settings.

In case (1), it isn't appended to the command line unless you check the "Append to Command" checkbox. It isn't sent to the MUD unless the "Send to MUD" is checked. So it's working as designed. With both boxes unchecked, it just displays the result to the window (executes it as a script like an alias). So I don't know why you'd expect it to be in the command line if the "Append to Command" was unchecked.

In the second case, the problem is that the ALT key is the Windows key for focusing the menu in any application. I think it has done this in all versions of CMUD recently. But if this is a change in behavior from 2.22, let me know.

Also, whenever assigning to Alt-key, be sure to turn on the "Macros override menu shortcuts" preference.
