[2.18] Editor window pops up

Since the last update the editor window pops up automatically when I enter one of my journals. Is there a way to switch that off?

I'm not sure what you mean by "enter one of my journals". But check to see if you have a #CAPTURE command in some trigger without a window name. If you use #CAPTURE without a window name then it captures the last line of text to the Editor window (which will cause the Editor window to open)

Could this have something to do with ATCP and one of IRE's Muds? From what I understand ATCP should spawn an editor window in the circumstance you mention.

Ahh, that could be it too...Good catch ReedN! Yes, some IronRealms MUDs use an ATCP command which will pop up the editor. The idea is that you enter your journal note into the CMUD editor and then click the Save button in the CMUD Editor to send the note back to the MUD. This allows you to use the interactive CMUD Editor to create your note rather than just the single command line.

If the "Send" button in the Editor is displayed as "Save" instead of "Send" then you'll know that the window was triggered by the ATCP MUD commands.

Indeed it would, see the help for more info on CMUD's ATCP support.

The editor window popping up should actually contain the contents of the journal for you to edit, which should hopefully be more useful than the standard editor. You can disable ATCP entirely in CMUD's preferences, or just the editor part (hopefully) by creating an ATCP trigger for the editor ATCP command. The help mentions such triggers.

EDIT: Bah, I need to open each thread and read it rather than opening all unread threads and then reading them. 15-minute ninja :(

Indeed, this is a feature that has long been sought after. Give it a try, it will be more convenient than entering the text how you did it before.
