Using variables in status windows

Seems odd however still i cannot get real time tracking variables running in my status window. I am sure its how i am formatting them yet none the less it seems that any time i reference the @VARNAME it populates the #STW with the value. if i use a hardcoded @VARNAME then it shows that.. i cant seem to get it to utilize the current value of those values.

I created a status window using the UI and checked "display in status window" and unchecked "display in status bar". I gave it the value "test @blah", and then created @blah with the UI as well. I closed the package editor, pinned the status window open and started giving @blah different values from the command line. The status window updated properly.

What exact method are you using?

apparently i can manually refresh it.. that seems to be the issue. I use MXP Variables in there and it should change as they do. However it doesnt. Only when i make a change to the status window code itself and save it.

Very weird indeed.
