[1.26] Loading my package into a new session

Hello. I'm trying to load my already existing package into a new session for the same mud. These are the steps I take:

create new session, enter the address, save and connect
view, all settings (package editor)
file, open, then select the package from the old session, and open

The package editor creates a new tab under the correct name of the loaded package, but none of the settings from that package are present in the tree on the left. What is going on here? Am I doing something wrong? I thought I was doing everything the help file says to do.

Thanks!

Is there anything at all in the treeview? I've seen the tree come up empty with some old corrupted beta packages before.

Also, is the package the main session package for the other session (the one that contains its connection window and such)? It's probably not advisable to add that to another session with the window still in there - you'll want to create a copy and convert the window to a global module in that copy.

Ah, it seems I was loading the wrong package. For some reason, the package I've been saving to was in the general CMUD folder, not in the specific session folder.

Figured I'd just reopen this one.. How the heck do you get a package to load? All mine does is keep crashing.

Please don't bump really old posts like this and then not provide any specific information on your problem. This forum is for Beta Testers who are helping to debug the latest 3.03 version of CMUD. Your question needs to be posted to the main CMUD Discussion Forum where a lot more people will see it.

Please try to give specifics on exactly what you are doing and exactly what error message you are getting. The more information you can provide, the more help you will get.

Finally, just keep in mind that it is very bad web etiquette to re-open posts that are several years old like this. Just create your own new post.
