Unable to disable "convert to one line commands"..

Just to test the difference in look, I tried enabling the "convert to one line commands" option in zMUD's Settings window... however, even though I've subsequently unticked this option, commands are still being displayed upon one line (I even tried restarting zMUD, but it didn't help). I was wondering whether anyone else had experienced this, and whether there was a solution?
