[1.23] English keypad not loading?

Just updated to v1.23 and noticed that it didn't load the english keypad on default anymore...anyone else notice this?

I have it insta-load from v1.12 up to v1.22 but after installing this one it wasn't loaded on default and I opened the package myself to get it to load each time with this session.

So, before:

Creating new session always had keypad included.

After update:

Old session didn't have english keypad included and had to be added manually.

They're still loading for me. On the view menu, choose "Show Default Packages".

Hmm, I did. Didn't show.

I did do an upgrade, and not a clean install? Could that have to do with it?

Possibly - try doing a fresh reinstall, including the data directory.

Click on the Prefs button, go to the Scripting page and click on the Packages tab. Is English Directions and English Keypad listed there? If not, then you need to edit this and add them. And yes, try doing a fresh install.

There *was* a change in 1.23 where the package filenames were changed to have a space in them (from EnglishKeypad.pkg to "English Keypad.pkg"), but CMUD has some code to automatically fix this if it is detected. So maybe the fix somehow didn't work on your system. But a fresh install should set everything correctly.

Verified - my keypad no longer works either... when I looked at my list of packages in the session it showed up as "English Directions" and "English Keypad" so I manually re-added "EnglishDirections.pkg" and "EnglishKeypad.pkg" but that didn't fix the problem either so I then logged onto the session and opened the settings editor and opened the two packages from within there... it worked until I exited and restarted CMUD.

I haven't done a fresh install yet to see if it's a problem 'out-of-the-box' or not.

EDIT: After seeing Zugg's post, I went to My Games\CMUD\Packages and added the space manually in the two files, things came right at that point.

Rainchild: So did the installer not add the files with the spaces in their names?

It seems to have added the spaced files to C:\Program Files\CMUD\Packages but not My Documents\My Games\CMUD\Packages

Just checked and it's exactly the same for me. Space added to cmud\packages but not the my document\my games\cmud\packages one.

Ahh, ok, you must not have done a fresh install. The first time you run CMUD after a fresh install (or delete the cmudstartup.ini file) that is when it copies the files from Program Files\CMUD\Packages into the My Documents\My Games\CMUD\Packages area.
