Settings Problem

I checked through the forum for a previous post but found none that would help me. I am having trouble with my settings..
I play only one MUD but have several char on that MUD. My settings will carry over into each and every char, when in fact I want to have individual settings for each char. When I switch char, I have the settings of all of them together.
Also, when I save a MUD file it creates the name of the same file plus _bak.mud, example Darkwood.mud turns into Darkwood._bak.mud, and the next time it saves and increases again with Darkwood_bak_bak.mud.
So, in short I am trying to save each char with it's own settings, and can switch from one to another without all this hassle.

You need to create a new profile for each. I.E. Dont click darkwood from the mudlist or whatever every time. Also click edit on the session and make sure each .mud is different

How you create the character icon isn't really important. What's important is that before connecting any of them you edit the Character Preferences and name your settings file before clicking Connect or Offline that first time. If you want different folders, just edit the Session ID at the same time.

Right but he cant use the same profile and change the name constantly :P

Shared settings between files in ZMUD leads me to believe either copied settings not created settings or that he is using the same icon to login with all 3. Since zmud automatically names the new one a different name when you "Create" them.

Thats why i said what i said
