Zchat Preference settings Issues?

I have this wierd issue where everytime I start Zchat, it's white background, black text.
In the preference, howver, i have changed it to black background, white text.
The way I correct is, I go to preference and then click on close.
Why is it not retaining the configuration of black background and white text? |

I moved everythign to the c:/Zmud directory instead of c:/Program Files/Zmud...still the preferences are not sticking.
