Current line number

Hi.

Is there any way to get current line number in file I opened?

I'm using #file and #read commands to sequentially execute script steps and sometimes I would like to jumpt to other section of file then jump back to where I was before (analogically to calling routines). Right now I'm doing it by splitting parts int different files, but I'm having difficulties to do not cross file limit.

Any ideas?
