#RETRACE... sort of |
So for the past few years, I've encorporated many paths into my zmud arsenal. I've found the #RETRACE command to really suck, because you gotta be all the way at the end of the path.
I was wondering if there is a similar command, or for that matter, any way to just go back the amount of the path that you have travelled so far. I suspect that this exists, but really I have looked pretty hard for it :)
Or i guess if there isnt a command, I'm just curious how one can do that.
Anyways, any help is appreciated of course :)

Tried the #BACKUP command? I think that might be reserved for when you are recording paths, though. I can't imagine how it might possibly work with a path you are currently travelling and got stopped on since in most such cases the path is actually terminated rather than paused and waiting for an #OK or something (and if it was a fast speedwalk where all the commands got sent to the mud at one time, forget it). If that doesn't work for you, you will probably have to use %inwalk() coupled with some kind of counter that keeps track of the path you are travelling and where you are in that path.
This specific part could be contained in an alias, since all you are really doing is looking up a variable reference and then sending a movement command to the game. That alias can then be attached to your prompt trigger or wherever else is appropriate. |
