You might want to post what error you were getting and what you did to get it to work so that other people can be helped by your post.

okay ... I thought it was working because it was loading it up, but then I waited a while longer and I get this 'zMud has encountered and error and needs to close' 'we are sorry for this inconvenience (sp?)'. Kind of like when a program stops responding and you have to close it... I sent an error report. Any ideas? :(

What version of Windows are you using? What version of zMUD were you using before installing 7.13? Does it say 7.13a on the splash screen, or just 7.13? If it just says 7.13 then you need to download it again.
What are you doing in zMUD when you get the error? Are you trying to connect to the MUD, or just loading zMUD? Do you get the zMUD splash screen? If so, what does it say.
There are very few bugs in zMUD. When you get a problem, you have to assume that it is specific to your computer and will be hard to reproduce. So you need to provide as much information as possible in order to get any useful help. |

I tried the downloads section of the site, and it only gave me the installation for 7.13.0.00 or something like that, no "a" involved.
And, of course, I've got the whole access violation shebang again, sucky.
Perhaps the link to download 7.13a isn't the right one? I don't know, just a thought. I'll try to tinker with things and see what I can do, but help is always appreciated.
Thanks! |

Yep, somehow the version 7.13a on the site got overwritten with the original 7.13 again. I should be fixed now, so give it another try.

I had the same problem. With 7.13a. I did a system restore right before it was installed, but same thing continued to happen. So I went backa few weeks and just installed 7.13. Now it works fine. Windows XP sp2.

I have no clue what you are saying. You "went back a few weeks and just installed 7.13"? Huh? 7.13 has only been out for a couple of days.
Also, you should not use 7.13 instead of 7.13a. 7.13 has a known problem that will corrupt your settings files. This can eventually cause you a lot of trouble. So if you install anything, it should be 7.13a. If 7.13 is working, just install 7.13a on top of it and it should work fine. There is only ONE LINE of difference between 7.13 and 7.13a so if 7.13 is working, so should 7.13a. |
