Upgrading 5.55 to 7.05

I lost my registration code for zMUD 5.55. I had to reformat my computer and, of course, lost my older version of zMUD. I found the dloaded 5.55 again and tried to register it, but I can't find a way to register anything older than 6.0. So, I bought the registration for the new version, which doesn't work 5.55. I prefer 5.55 (I've used it for about 5 years), but I'll switch to the new version if need be. The question is, can upgrade my old version and keep those settings? I'm having problems getting the windows sized right without messing up the text. Also, I'd rather not reenter all the char/trigger info I just added a week ago. The main issue is the window sizing though.

Thanks,
TC

Ok, I had installed the newer version in a different folder so as not to lose the old version. After doing as zugg suggested in a help topic somewhere, I made a copy of the folder containing the old version, installed the new version in that folder and my settings are all there, which turns out to be quite handy. The window sizing issue was that I couldn't size the windows the way I had previously to tighten up the buffer without messing up the buffer. This turns out to be at least in part a config option from the MUD. I've now got the highth set fine, but the width is a bit off, which I can live with.
