Automapper Problem |
On my Mud my mapper works fine. Then quits in certain areas. Even reconfiguring doesn't fix those specific areas. Here's some examples
This room it works fine:
Outside the South Gate of Midgaard [Sector: forest]
You are standing outside the strong wooden gate on the southern walls of
Midgaard. Guards eye you suspiciously from the two towers on either side of
the gate, as they stand watch to protect the city from the goblins of this
forest. The trees and goblins of the Miden'nir are south, the gate back to
Migaard lies north.

I move south 1 and it works and this is displayed:

North Gate [Sector: field]
The dense forest treeline ends abruptly here as the trail continues
south towards a very large wooden structure. The tall wooden
stockade extends to the east and west, providing defensive support to the
lands beyond. At this portion of the protective barrier, a large gate hangs
wide open on broken hinges, allowing travelers full passage.
The magical energies of this place have been inverted.

So I go south again and it lets me here it is:

North Peasant's Way [Sector: field]
A sparse collection of trees and shrubbery dot the grassy landscape.
Several small rural outbuildings can be seen nearby, with larger
structures barely visible much further to the south. A wooden
stockade borders the immediate land to the north, which also
encompasses a very large plot of land in all visible directions.
[Exits: north south down]
A dark priest swathed in ebony robes and covered in tattoos chants in a low tone.

Okay. Then if I try to go back north to North Gate [Sector: field] it lets me but then the mapper won't come back south. I have to set my current location to go south 1. Ok, then if I try to map south of North Peasant's Way [Sector: field] it simply will not do it at all. Not even with a new configuration. Could it have to do with the room's having the same name? How can I fix this if so?

North Peasant's Way [Sector: field]
Trees that are visible in the area look rather unhealthy. Much
of their bark skin has rotted away and fallen to the ground to
decompose, leaving the sap-dripping innards without protection from
the elements. Leaves that have managed to remain attached to the branches
have dulled in color to a sickly brown. The rest of have dropped
down to cover the dirt.

A dark priest swathed in ebony robes and covered in tattoos chants in a low tone.
A walking pile of animated bones with glowing eyes marches with a purpose.
Groans and curses eminate from a lumbering zombie.
