Setting Editor |
Somehow the half of the setting editor that displays the properties and gives you the ability to make triggers etc. has poofed. It has just dissapered. Which means I am unable to edit triggers, aliases, macros, use paths all of these things. When I click on triggers all it gives me is a list of the triggers. Any help with this problem would be hugely appreciated.

Delete setting.dok from the zMUD directory.

LIsten carefully.
First i would say to simply maximize the window.
Second, if the first does not turn up your missing box, mouse over the very bottom of the setting window; on the bottom of the window your mouse icon should change to an adjustment icon, simply click and hold, slide you box back into view.
Hope that is clear enough. And, that is the question you were asking. |

I thank you both of you Lightbulb and Ryntrax for your good ideas. Thought I hate to say it neither of them worked. Maybe I wasnt clear enough, even if I want to edit a alias, variable, trigger anything I can not. The properties are not displayed. I dont think I am refering to the item wrongly, it is what is shown in the screen shots for 7.05 for settings editor. If I click on triggers on the main window I do not get the property, value window I get nothing. If I choose to edit a setting in memory the property window does not display.

When the settings editor comes up, select the trigger, then go to the edit menu within the settings editor and click on edit.

Yes, I understood the problem. You undocked the Edit window and closed it. It can be reopened easily by simply selecting a setting and pressing the Edit button or pressing the New button.
The docking status of the Edit window used to be in the setting.dok file, but it appears Zugg has moved it to the zmud.ini file.
Close zMUD.
Go to your zMUD directory and find the zmud.ini file.
MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF zmud.ini
Right-click on the zmud.ini file and Open it, using Notepad.
Find the [Settings] section.
Find the Dockable value, set it to 1.
Find the Docked value, set it to 1.
Save, and close Notepad.
Open zMUD.
Open a blank window by pressing the ESC key.
Click the Triggers button and see if your problem is fixed.
On the View menu of the Settings Editor, make sure Locked is selected so you can't undock the Edit window again. |

Thank you Lightbulb, changing the values worked. It is a big larger than it was before instead of side by side they are stacked but that is of no consequence. Thank you everyone for your ideas and help.
