How do I get through to port 2700?

This is the message I get
quote:
Trying mud.arctic.org 2700 ...
Failed to connect.

I'm on a computer at work and someone has told me that port is blocked. Any ideas what I can do? Someone else mentioned that I could try an HTTP-tunnel or a shell account. I have no idea how to do either of them. I was curious if there was an easier fix.

I have administrator rights on this computer (I'm thinking that might help). I just want to play the mud while I sit at work and do nothing. :-(
