Can you stop aliases from working in sentences?

I really wish there was a way for an alias to not work in a sentence.
I will say something with an alias in it, and it will use the alias...
Is there a way to make ONLY the alias name on the command line to trigger the alias? |

If you want to prevent the use of an alias, put a ~ before the first word.

For me the alias only work if it is the first word in the command.
(talking and all that requires a symbol before it.) |
