Question about spam, and disconnects |
Alright, sometimes when i'm playing a mud, and i get a *lot* of combat spam, like 5 shields + 5 hits per mob * 30 mobs or so..
so say.. 300 lines all coming at me quick.. oh, and it's full of ansi too, Zmud disconnects me from the mud.
My question:
Is there some type of spam protection built into zmud?
If there is, is it able to be Disabled?
or, Any ideas for a solution?
I only have about 5 triggers enabled so not sure if that's it..
sample line:
A Death squad evil one's hit leaves a scratch (38)
Your Lightning shield hits a death squad evil one Lightly (47)
Thanks in advance,

The disconnect is caused by the mud server, not the client.

The only spam protection built into zMUD is the optional one which limits how many times you SEND the same line, and even it is off by default. There is no spam protection on incoming lines. The disconnects probably come from your modem drivers, which are beyond zMUD's control. Do your best to eliminate as many of these lines as you can using any battlespam settings the MUD has available, or pick less crowded rooms to fight in.
