installation error

I have just tried to install zMUD v7.04 on a computer running Windows 2000, without any previous versions installed and it does not work.
I instantly get at start-up a window titled "Installation Aborted!" with the message "Internal error". 
What could be wrong please? |

My guess is that you do not have administrator rights on that computer.
You might also try re-downloading the 7.04 version just in case your prior download had a problem. |

another possibility...
from the FAQ section
Q: When I install zMUD, it says "Could not initialize installation. CRC error"
This means your web browser downloaded zMUD in text mode instead of binary mode. This is a common problem for AOL users. Try using Internet Explorer and then right-click on the download link and select "Save Link As" to force the browser to download the file in binary mode. |

Yes, you hit it on the nail.
I clicked on the download button and my browser - IE and not AOL client though - seems to have downloaded it in text mode...
I had checked the FAQ but did not link it to my problem as the error message was different.
