Is it possible to prevent the map from automatically zooming in and out?

The mapper doesn't automattically zoom in and out. Each zone saves the last zoom level a user used with it, and returns to that level when the zone is opened. I think there were some minor bugs in 6.62 that caused that saved zoom level to be ignored in certain circumstances, but those rare situations are fixed in the next public version. If this isn't what your referring to then please try to describe the problem your experiencing a little better.

That may be what I'm experiencing. I did see the bug mentioned in previous posts, but I thought they were talking about the saved zoom level being ignored on opening the map. My zoom level is changing on the fly, but, I've realized, it zooms out and never in. It does so as I'm mapping, and repeatedly, if sporadically. I'll gather more details if that's appropriate, or perhaps I should live with it until the next release.
