Choosing character problems

I've upgraded to 6.62 and it's so far caused me nothing but problems. I'm currently having issues with choosing my character. I have one character available for connect for each class that I play. But, for some reason, no matter which one I connect with, it uses my paladin settings.
So, even though I might be attempting to play a ranger, I only have the commands I have set for paladins.

When I close the window and get back to character selection, it shows the ranger character being connected as the same time the paladin was, as though it connected, but still used the paladin settings.

It's getting frustrating. I dunno if I've specified everything clearly, but if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

You are probably using the same settings file for all your characters. After opening zMUD, select the paladin but choose Edit instead of connecting. Go to the Files tab and look in the Primary field. This is the name of your paladin's settings file. Return to the Character screen by choosing Cancel.

Now select your ranger and go to Edit again. If you don't want to use the same settings as the paladin, put a different filename in Primary. Return to the Character screen by choosing Save. Repeat for your other characters.

New settings files will be blank. You'll probably want to use some of your existing triggers (the Autolog triggers, for instance). These can be imported to the new settings files. Select the ranger, but this time choose Offline. From the Settings menu at the top, select Import/Settings... then browse your way to the paladin file. Select the settings you want to import, click the Add button, then Import when you've finished selecting.
