Help with capturing two lines |
I'm using the trigger #TRIGGER {shouts:} {#CAP tell;#GAG} .
If a players sentences goes two lines the trigger only captures the 1st line of text to the capture window adn 2nd lines stays on the orgial screen. Is there a command I can add to this trigger inorder to get the entire 2 line sentence captured? |

If the mud adds single or double quotes to the channel message then you can use a multistate trigger. The second state should be of type Within Lines, with a parameter of 1. The commands would be the same, but the pattern would just be whatever type of closing quote there is followed by $.

Unfortunately the mud doesnt. the text ends with what the player typed in.
example
=NEWBIE= Morganti: probably not too bad!
and the trigger I use being #TRIGGER {=NEWBIE=} {#CAP tell;#GAG}
can u please post an example of the parameter with $ and ! being the last character of thext |

Does the mud do anything to signal that the message was more then 1 line?

Check out..

Thats for Achaea, but the principle is the same. You begin capturing when they start shouting... and you END capturing next time you see a prompt. This has the bonus of capturing *any* number of lines of text without hassle.. not just 1 or even 2. |
