Text in output screen all messed up

I have loaded the newest version of zMud twice now, with a complete uninstall between them but the same problem still occurs. I log onto the mud fine, but after I type anything at all and hit enter the text screen is all messed up. For example, if I do a "who" the output screen will show approx. half of the
who" info and the rest will be the default mud info that shows when you log on. It it not scrolling or refreshing right at all. It did this upon first installation and I had not changed any settings or fonts. No, it is not in split screen mode. If I try more than once then I will see one line of text followed by maybe twenty or so blank lines, then one more line of text, etc. I have looked through preferences and settings quite thoroughly and I don't see any kind of setting I can change that will fix this. I am about to pull my hair out. I am using 1024x768 resolution, have the lastest drivers for my video card and I am using Windows XP. Any suggestions? I used an earlier version long ago and had no problems. I was going to buy this version but won't spend the money if I can't get it to run right.

yes, My suggestion is this:
Unbeknowed to you or I some of zscript has changed a little,so turn of ALL your #class's and log on manually and try to do your who then. If the problem is still there than I hope someone else can help you, If the problem is gone that you have a problem in your script.

Know I now you probably have the same script as before and had no problem before upgrading, but every once aand awhile somthing changes and this messes things up so just humer me and give it a try.

If you are finding this is the case than you simple tuen one #class on at a time untill when you type who gives you the problem and that is where you will find your zscript problem.

This sounds similar to a problem which was recently reported in the Beta forum, Screen Split.

Since you might not have access to that forum (although it's easy to obtain), I'm quoting Zugg's reply.
quote:

Sounds like your MUD is using VT100 scrolling region code and isn't autodetecting the screen size of your zMUD window. Ask your MUD if this is true and it the MUD supports NAWS (the telnet option to determine your window size), or see if there is a command on the MUD to tell it how many lines your screen has. Since v5.56 or so, zMUD started supporting VT100 codes in a more standard way, and in the past zMUD might not have ever noticed that the MUD was setting a scrolling region like that.

You can also try turning off the VT100 emulation option in the zMUD Preferences to see if that helps. This doesn't sound anything like the screen split problem in the previous version.
