Automapper slowdown |
I've read a post or 2 on this but they seem to have been resolved by updating mdac/jet drivers. My problem is when I'm using the automapper and enter a direction zmud immediately sends the command and the mud returns the new room, however right after this, zmud appears to stop completely and then after a pause of around 5 seconds the new room shows on the mapper and zmud resumes activity. This only occurs when the automapper is on. Follow mode works as good as ever except when I switch from using the automapper to follow mode where follow mode behaves as the automapper did. I can resolve that by closing and restarting the mapper. I updated the mdac/jet drivers but that didn't appear to change anything. I am using zmud 6.62 and didn't have this problem in the previous version. Is there something I may have set wrong? I'm using the same configuration I used before. Let me know if you need more info to help me out. Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem.
I do find if I switch zones, it also resolves itself. |

You're right, follow mode will get back up to speed if I manually switch zones and back. Mapper is still very slow though and doesn't speed up to normal doing this. Hopefully someone that knows what is wrong might actually respond to this.
