Hello,
Instruction about how to translate zMUD to another language can
be found in the text file 'translation.txt' located in zMUD's main
directory.
A short instruction:
1. Copy 'zmud_english.lng' to 'zmud.lng'.
2. Open 'zmud.lng' in wordpad and translate it
3. Open 'global.mud' in the trigger editor. (file->open I think)
4. Translate the descriptions of commands in 'global.mud' but don't
change the command names.
5. By using the 'zMUD command editor' included in zMUD's developers kit you should
be able to translate all the descriptions of the zMUD commands.
There are more things mentioned in 'translation.txt'. When I attempted to start
translating it I gave up quite fast because of the size of the language file. I'm
also unsure how to maintain it when a new upgrade of zMUD comes. Like how you get the
new strings included in the new version. Perhaps CVS would work, but I'm not sure.
Good luck with the translating!
Rorso
Currently using zMUD 6.40 |
