Can't get Zmud to detect broswer |
For some reason I can't get Zmud to open up my Internet Explorer anymore from the command line. Before it was working fine and then later I had downloaded an HTML Editor. Then zmud decided to switch to opening my HTML editor instead of Internet Explorer. So then I decided to delete my HTML Editor hoping it would fix the problem. Nope. Now zmud won't open anything. I can't seem to get my Internet Explorer to ask me if i want to make it the default browser. I already tried Internet Options then clicking and unclicking the box where it asks IE should check to see if it's the default. No luck. I tried reinstalling Zmud. Still no luck. Any ideas of how to get Zmud to open my browser again using the #URL feature?

If you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you've undoubtedly been annoyed at the lack of support for other clients for email, telnet, etc. Here's how to configure your own client (using Telnet as an example).
Open My Computer, select Options from the View menu, and click on the File Types tab. (if you're using the newest verison of IE, you can view the File Types in IE's Options window.)
Click on URL:Telnet Protocol, and click Edit...
Click on open in the list of Actions, and click Edit... again.
Click Browse..., and choose the desired client (zMUD). Close each window by pressing OK.
That's all there is to it.
Sounds like your web broser is no longer associated with .HTM files.

Ahh, I fixed it. That was quite interesting. For W2k users they will need to open Windows Explorer then go to Folder Options then File Types. Look for htm and url extension. Click on each of them then click open then edit then browse for your browser. You do this both on htm and url I believe and the problem should be fixed.
