Map Questions and Slow Work |
Actually I have three questions with Map in Zmud5.5
1. When I creat a room with more than 1 other directions. Such as
the obviusly exits: northup,southdown,eastdown,up
And what is too bad is that the rooms links with northdown and southdown is absoutly same. Their roomname,description,exits are all same.But they are really not one room.
So, when I in follow mode, actually I went to northup, but the mapper could not follow me. It shown as another room or stay origin place. How can I solve this? And if I use map with Slow walk, adding trigger seems always abort the slowwalk. Would anyone can give me a good idea to solve this?
Another case, if only their exits are not same, do anyone can help me some triigers?
2. In my mud, there is a kind of rooms with random command to go in.
such as: a room name as "the bottom of the lake"
I must stay in the room name as "the side of the lake"
and keep drinking the water, such as #*** drink water
then, randomly, I will drop to the room of "the bottom of the lake"
How can I do with my map? And if I want to use slow work to go through the "bottom of the lake", how can I pervent the slow walk from abort?
3. My another headache is when in my mud. I use "fly ***" to go places quicker. However, the place I drop down can been in fixed realm. But the random rooms. More trouble is the room can be all as like as two peas. How can I solve it? Samely, If I also want to use slow walk, How can it works well with map?

Still no reply. Perhaps there are 2 reasons:
Firstly, my English is too poor to show my means correctly.
Second, there is no way to solve all these problems.
However, I still want more experts could give me some kind suggestions. That would kick my puzzles off. Thanks a lot! |

1. I think you just need to delete the link that is incorrect, and recreate it to connect to the correct room? You can do this by hand using the room properties. You should not need a trigger to do this.
Or did you mean that the mapper doesnt create a second room, because it thinks you went to the first one (as they look the same) - you can create the room by hand too.
2. You want to automatically enter the room during a slow walk? That doesnt sound so easy. You will probably need a series of triggers, activated when you enter the first room ("side of the lake"). You'd need it to send the first 'drink water' and then have a trigger which notices that you didnt move (I hope there is some message from the mud to confirm this), and sends a second 'drink water' etc.
I don't use slow walk much, so maybe someone else can help with that.
3. Is even more difficult.. The mapper can't tell two rooms apart if they look exactly alike, so the only way to find out where you are is to randomly follow the exits until you find a unique room.
Is there any reason you haven't upgraded to version 6.16/6.40 yet? There are probably better ways to solve your problems using newer versions, and more people which can help you.
